Full Job Description
We at PEI Group are looking for a Designer to join our growing design team and portfolio of magazines and websites.
As part of the design team, you will be working across multiple B2B brands, collaborating with editors, researchers and writers to capture creative requirements and constantly deliver on-brand monthly magazine pages and web content.
PEI Group's audience are the private equity and venture capital industries, and our content is a mix of news insights, in-depth cover stories, analysis, thought leadership and statistics, all of which you will be tasked with delivering compelling visual narratives.
We are looking for a talented Designer who is adaptable and eager to further their design skills, stretch themselves technically and wow our readers with innovative magazine covers, layouts, business graphics together with bespoke and re-purposed online content.
Your main responsibilities include;
- Working across multiple B2B brands with demanding deadlines
- Collaborating with editors, researchers and writers to capture stories, analysis, thought leadership and statistics to deliver compelling visual narratives.
- Further developing your design skills to meet the needs of the business and the brands
- Working with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects (and other Adobe Cs applications if required) you will be design to capture the attention of our readers and subscribers
- Contribute to design-led thinking across editorial/special projects
- Work with the team to develop other aspects of design using creative and production tools old and new
- Work with the Production Team to ensure design deadlines are me
- Communicate regularly and effectively with Production and Special Reports teams regarding all editorial/sponsored design projects.
- Participate actively in editorial planning and production meetings.
- Working on data visualisations
- Work collaboratively to develop designs for editorial/special projects

Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Minimum of one years' design experience in B2B publishing. You will be working on both printed material and online creative in a wide variety of websites, emails and social media
- Excellent and advance working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, in particular InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects.
- Use and working knowledge of third-party picture libraries ie Getty Images.
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Self-motivated and willing to take responsibility.
- Comfortable operating in a professional working environment where regular feedback is provided.
- Highly adaptable working or learning new software systems
- A demonstrable portfolio of creative work in print and digital media, plus experience of illustrating would be an advantage

25 days annual leave (+8 bank holidays)
You deserve a break and are entitled to 25 days paid annual leave in addition to the 8 public/bank holidays. Long Service award PEI offer a scheme to increase an employee's holiday allowance according to length of service. After 2 years of service, you will receive an additional day’s annual leave, you will receive an extra day up to 4 years of service, taking you 28 days annual leave.
Holiday-Flex
Any permanent employee of PEI can buy from or sell PEI up to three holiday days. The value is calculated as 1/260th of the employee's current annual basic salary.

Life Cover
The Company provides you with life cover of 4 times your “basic salary”, as long as you are on a permanent contract with PEI.

4.5% matched pension contribution
After three consecutive years’ in the pension scheme with PEI, employees will have the opportunity to have any increased pension contributions (above 4.5%), matched by the business up to 5%.
Cycle to work scheme
After successful completion of your probation period, PEI will work with you to ensure that the loan of a bicycle can be treated as a tax free benefit, enabling you to cycle to and from work (we also have great shower facilities on site, as well as plenty of bike racks to safely store your bike!) Season ticket / Travel loan After successful completion of your probation period, PEI offers an interest free travel loan, available for all permanent employees, for rail or tube annual tickets, for the purpose of you travelling to and from work.
